How Site Activity Index Works

In this blog post, we will show you how Site Activity Index works. We will go through what the SAI % means, what the stars ⭐️ represent and how the monthly reports work.

In our previous blog post we discussed why it is important to frequently update your website . In this article, we will examine how Site Activity Index works.

What does SAI measure?

The Site Activity Index (SAI) is a metric which measures how much and often a website is updated. We measure visual as well as contextual changes. In other words, you will not get a high site activity by merely changing the title. Nor will you receive a high SAI by only changing images.

How to interpret the SAI %?

SAI is interpreted as a percentual change. For example: if a website has a SAI of 50%, it is interpreted as "the website has change half (50%) of its content".

What about those stars? ⭐️

The Site Activity Stars helps you to understand how a site is doing in comparison to their competitors. The table below shows how you are to interpret the different stars:

Bad
⭐⭐OK
⭐⭐⭐Good
⭐⭐⭐⭐Very Good
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Excellent

How does the monthly reports work?

The monthly reports help you stay up to date on how your preferred site(s) are doing. Once a month we send you a report containing 1) Your Site Activity during the past month and 2) How this fares against your competitors. Click here to sign up for monthly reports for your favorite sites.
